When
examining the subject of baptism, the author
was forced to read a large number of tracts,
pamphlets and books. He found that none
of these covered the entire subject sufficiently.
He set forth to produce a comprehensive
work to place into the hands of young converts
and those wanting to study the subject.
“Why I Am a Baptist” is that
work, it is “a compilation of facts
and the arguments of others, culled from
numerous sources after careful and voluminous
reading.”
